A lil Backstory
Growing up in the Bledsoe family, known for our spiritual experiences, I didn't always feel "safe" being my true self. When our experiences took off and government investigators invaded my childhood, my lifelong love for music became my sustaining force, the sole place I could truly express.
Naturally, my obsession with singing and piano lead me to pursue it professionally. I earned my BM in vocal performance, and went on to receive a dual master’s in musical theatre voice performance and vocal pedagogy from NYU. When the pandemic forced me out of NYC and made me feel my dreams were crushed, I continued my education by turning inward, exploring holistic methods to help myself and my students awaken the voice through the mind, body, and spirit.
My time at the Monroe Institute in 2022 was a turning point in that journey. It helped me break through years of frustration with songwriting. The result is Colors, a nonlinear sonic memoir that traces my healing through nine songs, each one connected to a synesthetic impression and a chapter of my life. Enhanced with Monroe Sound Science®, this album helps listeners on their journey with the very technology that helped me on mine.
